Akhanda Bhajans

Quo Vadis held its first Akhanda Bhajans (continuous singing) at its new facility.


The programme ran between 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., Friday and Saturday, the 24th and 25th August, 2007 at Quo Vadis Interfaith Dialogue Center.



Approximately 25 people (including foreigners) attended the function.


The Bhajans (which were performed in the Café room) were sung in various languages including; Hindi, Malayam, Telegu, Tamil, and English.


The instruments used during the bhajans were: harmonium, tabala, dolak (drum) and tambourine.



The function started at 8 p.m. on Friday 24th August and finished at 10 p.m. that evening whereupon participants had dinner and then slept at the Quo Vadis facility.




Wake up the next morning was 5 a.m. in time for exercise on the roof.





Afterwhich continuous bhajans recommenced at 5 a.m. and proceeded until 8 a.m. whereupon the group retired for breakfast at the facility.



Quo Vadis hopes to have this function every two months at their facility.
